It was time for some of the Champions Team to go and test out our Travel Club Hospitality at Tottenham. Here's what happened!
We flew out of Dublin Airport on the Saturday morning with Aer Lingus into Heathrow. Once we landed, we had the Heathrow Express into Paddington pre booked which only took 15 minutes and cost £37 for a return ticket. After that, it was just a 5 minute walk from the station to our hotel, the Hilton London Metropole on Edgeware Road.
We dropped our bags off, freshened up and then made our way to the stadium. Edgeware Road Station is across the road from the hotel, here, we got on the Circle Line Tube to Liverpool St station. At Liverpool St we then changed to an overground train to take us to White Hart Lane. The journey from hotel to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium takes about an hour in total, but is relatively easy.
Our match tickets were sent to us around 4 days before game day as a PDF attachment via email. We had the Block 002 Travel Club Package so we entered through door 16 of the East Atrium which is on the far side of the stadium as you approach from White Hart Lane train station. Once you scan your ticket you can collect a free match programme and then it was up to the Travel Club Lounge.
In the Lounge there are hot food stations where you can pick up some complimentary food included with your match ticket. We got Arancini Balls to start and a very tasty pie and mash for mains. Drinks pre match must be purchased at the bar, a pint of Moretti cost £6.95 and a Coke is £3.29. The Stadium is cashless but they accept all major credit cards plus google and apple pay.
It's a short walk then to our seats in Block 002, Row 1, just at the halfway line. The view from the front row was incredible, you can hear the players throughout the game and it feels as though you are almost on the pitch.
At half time we went back in to the lounge where there were complimentary beer, wine and soft drinks available. And at full time we could go back to the lounge for up to two hours and enjoy desert while also avoiding the crowds leaving the stadium and heading back to the station.
