Trying out the Centenary Crabtree Hospitality at Fulham

A couple of weeks ago a few of the Champions Travel team took a trip to London to try out the Crabtree Hospitality at Fulham FC. Here's how it went!

We flew out of Dublin into Heathrow and got the Heathrow Express into Paddington station, which was £37 for a return ticket. It was 15 minutes in the train and once we got to Paddington Station a 10 minute walk to our hotel. 

The hotel was the London Hlton Metropole on Edgeware road where were able to check in before midday. it's a clean hotel in a good location with a stylish reception and bar area and a great breakfast. It's a big hotel with 3 building, we reccomend trying to get a room in The Tower if possible. 

To get to Craven Cottage, we took the tube from Edgeware Road to Hammersmith (15 mins) and then it was a 20 minute walk along the Thames to the Crabtree pub where our pre match hospitality was.

The Crabtree is a great opub on the river. You are met outisde by staff, checked in, given a wrist band and taken up stairs to your table. The Crabtree package available from Champions Travel includes a two course meal and complimentary drinks before kick off and a drinks voucher to use on the concourse at half time. We had a grilled asparagus starter and HUGE plate of fish and chips along with a pint of Camden Wells lager while watching the earlier kick off on a big screen. 

Hospitality is 3 hours pre match and 1 hour post, so after the meal it was a few pints in the beer garden looking out on to the Thames before walking along the river to Craven Cottage. 

Our tickets were sent to us as a PDF in the week before the game and were scanned as we entered through the Riverside entrance. Plenty of bars and food stalls on the concourse looking out over the river as well as a live band. A pint from one of the bars here cost £4.80 and the stadium is completely cashless but accept all major cards, google and apple pay. 

Then it was out to our seats which were directly behind the Fulham dugout. We were so close we could hear the managers and players speaking and there were plenty of kids getting high fives from the team at full time. 

After the game we made our way back to the station and stopped for a drink in The Crabtree to wait for the crowds to die down a bit.

The Crabtree Package to watch Fulham is a great afternoon out in London. The location of the stadium and the hospitality along the river Thames and the seats being right behind the dugout made it a great experience and one we will definately be looking to do again!
